It uses 759 phse detection points in a high-density array that cover approximately 94% of the image area when shooting stills, enabling it to recognise your subject even when they only occupy a small area of the frame

Controls for smooth, efficient shooting

The A7C II features a new Still/Movie/S&Q dial, allowing fast, independent selection. Its conveniently located next to the mode dial, which can then be used to easily select the exposure mode and other key settings for each shooting mode

Advanced 5-axis and 7.0 step image stabilization

Handheld shooting for stills got even better, thanks to the A7C II’s high-precision image stabilization unit, advanced gyro sensors and optimised image stabilization algorithms that effectively correct camera shake, achieving 7.0-step stabilization. Compatible lenses with built-in image stabilization combine with improved synchronisation between the body and lens to provide even more stable framing

Creators’ App

Connect your A7C II to your smart device and control the camera and transfer images or videos. Use the app to remotely start recording videos or as a monitor to check framing and focus. Videos captured vertically will be imported as vertical format and ready for sharing to social media.

Live-stream

Simply connect the camera to any Windows or Mac computer to begin conference calls or to stream on your favourite social media platform. The A7C II supports UAC and UVC protocols which transfers audio and video simultaneously, eliminating the need for a separate microphone.
